Behaviour Through a Neurodiversity Lens.

  • 20 Steps

About

Behaviour Through a Neurodiversity Lens is a practical CPD programme that helps educators understand behaviour as a form of communication rather than a discipline issue. The training explores how sensory needs, overwhelm, masking, executive function challenges, and unclear expectations shape behaviour in the classroom. Through clear explanations, real world scenarios, and practical strategies, staff learn how to recognise early signs of distress, reduce escalation, and create predictable, emotionally safe learning environments. The programme supports teachers, TAs, SENCOs, and pastoral teams in responding to behaviour with confidence, clarity, and compassion. By the end, participants will be able to interpret behaviour more accurately, adapt their practice to meet diverse needs, and build stronger, more trusting relationships with pupils.
